Sara was born on January 30, 1961 to Lawrence and Libby (Libow) Lazarus in Beth Page, Long Island. She was united in marriage to John Armando Mora on September 4, 1998 in Sacramento, California. Sara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 21 years, John Mora of Boyd; 3 sons, Aaron Stephens and wife Carolyn of Roanoke, Ian Stephens and wife Brittany Sara Rucker of Camp Pendleton, California, and Andrew Stephens and wife Jessica of Haslet; 2 grandchildren, Kye Robert Stephens and Killian James Stephens; her sister, Jeanne Sexton and twin, Mayta E. Lazarus of Sellersburg, Indiana; numerous relatives and a host of friends.
