Paradise~ Sara Jane Beck, 71, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Springtown, Texas.
Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at Boonsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Phillip Askey will officiate.
Sara was born on October 30th, 1951 to Garland Ross “Pal” and Josephine (Addington) Boyd. Sara attended Lewisville schools and graduated from North Texas State with a degree in Education. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Jerry Taylor Beck on June 15, 1973 in Lewisville, Texas and they were together 48 wonderful years until his passing on August 15, 2021. Sara was a retired special education teacher and her career spanned over 4 decades. During Sara’s career she was known as a caring teacher who encouraged her students to reach their full potential. She went above and beyond to provide for the needs of her students. Sara was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be missed by all that knew and loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pal and Josephine Boyd; and her loving husband, Jerry Beck.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Micah Beck of Perrin; her son, Wacy Beck and wife Jamie of Paradise; her beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Sydney, Kacy, and McCain; her sisters, Jo Anna Boyd, Rebecca Boyd Orr, Susan Boyd Hubbard and husband, Steve and Carole Ellis Lang and husband Brent; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
