Paradise - Roy "Johnny" Heard, 62, sales manager, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with Reverends Wayne West and Larry Potts officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Robby Brown, Pat Brown, Alfred Brown, David Perez, Paul Newman, and Tommy Fitzgerald. Honorary Pallbearers are Beaumont Brown, Timothy Stoker, Travis Stoker, Terry Pennecost, and Joe Gililand.
Johnny was born September 27, 1948 to Arnold and Shirley (Burdick) Heard in Athens, Texas. He married Charlene Uselton on June 14, 1994 in Watauga, Texas. He was a sales manager for Hamilton Electronic and proudly served our country as a staff sergeant in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 17 years, Charlene Heard of Paradise; daughter, Denise Bashur of El Paso; step daughter, Michelle Joiner of Paradise; brother, Robert Heard and wife Roseanna of Boyd; 2 granddaughters, Deavine and Vivian; 2 grandsons, Travis and Timmy; other relatives and a host of friends.
