Roxie Lee Ploeger

Roxie lee Ploeger, 86, passed from this earth Friday, June 13th, 2025.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 20th at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.

Roxie was born January 10th, 1939 to Harold and Tillie (Kuper) Harken in Ackley, Iowa. She was united in marriage August 9th, 1957 to Gordon Ploeger in Ackley, Iowa; happily married till his passing in 2019. Roxie was a retired receptionist after many years with Edward Jones Investment Group. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Tillie Harken; her husband of 61 years, Gordon Ploeger; and a sister-in-law, Mary Kay Harken.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Twila Miller and husband James of Maple Grove, MN, and Lynnae Stripling and husband Robert of Decatur; her sons, Sheldon Ploeger of Phoenix, AZ, and Kurt Ploeger and wife Stacy of Byron, MN; 7 grandchildren, Thad, Bailey, Kelsey, Brett, Jacy, Macen, and Zachary; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dallas Harken; extended family members and a host of friends. 

Memorials can be made to the church she attended for many years.
