Bridgeport ~ Rosie Lang, 68, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Decatur.
Funeral Service is at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 12th, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport, with burial at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Gary Demmitt to officiate. Pallbearers are Kendall Dethloff, Ricky Slimp, Keith Long, Jonathan Smith, Kelton Dethloff, and Corbin Knox. Honorary Pallbearers include Jagger Smith, Leelynn Pinkerton, Brantley Pinkerton, Alex Riviera, and Raleigh Wade.
Rosie was born on January 17, 1958, to Leo and Oleta (North) Dethloff in Bridgeport. She was united in marriage to Robert Lang on October 17, 1998, in Bridgeport. Rosie retired as an office administrator and was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Above all, Rosie cherished her family dearly, and the love she shared with them was at the heart of her life. Her kindness, faith, and devotion to those she loved will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her. She was a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Oleta Dethloff; her brothers, Dennis, Melvin, and Billy; and her sisters, Sue and Leta.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 27 years, Robert Lang of Bridgeport; her daughter, Christy Pierce and her husband, J.D. of Bridgeport; her sons, Stephen Graybill of Bridgeport, and Brandon Graybill and his wife, Lexe of Runaway Bay; her step-daughters, Miranda Early and her husband, Scott of Port Lavaca, and Kendra Adam and her husband, Eric of Fort Worth; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren plus 1 on the way; her siblings, Wanda Salinas and her husband, Tony, Alvin Dethloff and his wife, Kelli, Diann Long and her husband, Terry, Leon Dethloff and his wife, Robin, and Lisa Wages and her husband, Terry; her sister-in-law, Brinda Dukart and her husband, Vernon; several nieces, nephews, a host of friends, and the class of 1976.
