Rosamond Arzille (Freeman) Petty

Boyd ~ Rosamond Petty, 92, retired Custodian for Boyd Independent School District went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Decatur.

Graveside: 2 PM Wednesday at Aurora Cemetery.  Family to receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

The Reverend Doug Acklie to officiate.

Rosamond was born February 4, 1927 to Frank and Jewell Mae (Hutchison) Freeman in Grandview, TX.  She married Olin Petty June 13, 1942 in Grandview and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Rosamond was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Richard and Charles Petty; 2 sisters, Ida and Lucille and her brother, Alfred.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Shirley Moran and husband James of Newark, Joyce Davis and husband Don of Boyd; her son Paul Petty and wife Anise of Boyd; 9 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 9 great, great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Gloria, Kathryn and Vina; 3 brothers, Houston, Paul and Willis Freeman; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
