Bridgeport ~ Ronald Gerald Riggs, 74, passed away peacefully and went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 12, 2019, with family by his side.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at West Bridgeport Cemetery.
Ronald was born January 23, 1944, to Pete and Patricia (Caraway) Riggs in Bridgeport and was a lifelong resident. Ronald was one of 10 children. November of 2018, he made a life changing decision for Christ. Ronald proudly served our country in the Army Reserves. His occupation was a diesel mechanic and during his career, he held a title of being the #1 diesel mechanic in Fort Worth. Ronald was a loving son, father, paw paw, brother, and friend. He was very loved and will be missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ronny Riggs; and his brothers, Pete Riggs, and Donny Riggs.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Susie Goodell and husband Tim of Ft. Worth; his granddaughter, April Goodell and companion Mike Dickens of Fort Worth; his great grandson, Braxton Dickens; his sisters, Sandra Bush and husband Jimmy of Ft. Worth, Ellen Allen and husband Dan of Weatherford, Norma Riscky and husband Jim of Ft Worth, Merla Upton and husband Paul of Burleson, Paula Little of Ft Worth, and Betty Wildman of Burleson; his brother, Kenneth Riggs of Burleson; his special friends, Danny and Kim Admire of Bridgeport; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
