Rhome ~ Ronald G. “Ronnie” Harvey, 77, a retired store owner and repairman, went to be with our Lord Sunday, September 21, 2014 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bro. Steve Weeks will officiate assisted by Doris Dickey. Pallbearers include Tony Dickey, Raymond Dickey, Mark Hahn, Barry Harvey, Ronnie Smith, and Ned Adcock.
Ronnie was born on April 18, 1937 to Prentis and Ima (Ford) Harvey in Rhome. He was united in marriage to Sue Bridges on April 8, 1994 in Boyd. Ronnie was employed at the Harvey family general store, where he was in charge of appliance repair. He owned and operated the Roadrunner Restaurant, the Time Out convenience store, and the R&S Car Wash in Rhome before he retired in 2009. Ronnie was a member of the Church of Christ.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sandra; his sister Norma Matthews; and his brothers, Harold and Jerry Harvey.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sue Harvey of Rhome; his daughters, DeYon Vess Moore and husband Damon of Justin, Darlyn Goetz and husband Kevin of Blanchard, Oklahoma; his step daughters, Angie Branson and Amie Nelson; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
