Roland D. Davis

Roland D. Davis, 97, formerly of Granbury, passed away Thursday, June 4th, 2026 in Flower Mound.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 12th at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

John Hogan will officiate. Pallbearers include Ken Archer, Dylan Archer, Chandler Archer,and Stephen Skodack. Honorary pallbearers include Ed Handley, Fred Handley, Chuck Hixon, Terry Skodack, and Melvin Woody.

Roland was born February 26th, 1929 to R.D. and Billie (Woods) Davis in Coleman, Texas. He was united in marriage January 8th, 1949 to Yvonne Joette Eagan in Big Spring, Texas. Roland was retired from Exxon Oil Company after many years in the Production Department. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.D and Billie Davis; his beloved wife Yvonne Davis; his brother, Bill Davis; sister, Natalie Lee; grandsons, Kyle Archer and Kevin Skodack.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dee Ann Archer of Decatur and Nancy Skodack and husband Terry of Bartonville; his grandchildren, Ken Archer and wife Jessica, Katy Little, Stephen Skodack and wife Nicole, and Sarah Winter and husband Mark; his great-grandchildren, Annie, Chan, Dylan, Liberty, Ally, Braelyn, Gwen and Ada; extended family and a host of friends.
