Robin Mowery Garrett, a beloved figure in the lives of all who knew her, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Denton, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on September 21, 1955, in Artesia, California, Robin touched the lives of many throughout her journey and leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and compassion.

A memorial service to celebrate Robin's life will be held at First Methodist Church of Bridgeport, located at 608 17th Street, Bridgeport, Texas, on October 17, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM.

A dedicated educator, Robin inspired countless children during her tenure as an elementary counselor at Paradise Independent School District and Kindergarten teacher at Bridgeport Independent School District. Her passion for teaching and understanding shaped the futures of many young minds, and her warm, welcoming presence made her a cherished resource for both students and parents alike. She proudly earned her Master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University, a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth.

Robin was truly the life of the party, known for her joyous spirit and infectious laughter. She cherished every moment spent surrounded by her friends and family, inventing countless happy memories that will live on in the hearts of those left behind. Her ability to connect with people made every gathering more vibrant, and her warmth drew others to her, creating unbreakable bonds and lasting friendships.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Jack Garrett of Bridgeport, and their three children: Justin, Todd, and Lauren Mowery. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Jerrod Mowery and his wife Shanna, Brian Garrett, and Brad Garrett, as well as her adoring grandchildren, Nikki Moody and Lauren Brooke Mowery. The joy of her life, great-grandchild Joe Lynn Moody, carries on her spirit with his bright smile.

Though she is joined in passing by her mother, Mary Phillips Robinson, and her first husband, Joe Lynn Mowery, the memories Robin created will forever echo in the stories shared among her family.

As we gather to celebrate Robin’s remarkable life, we remember her not only for her achievements and the profound impact she had on her students and family but also for the light she brought into every room she entered. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished by those lucky enough to have called her a friend, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
