Bridgeport ~Mary Elizabeth Roberta Johnson Pate Matzinger, 99, a co-owner of Angus BBQ in Bridgeport, went to be with her Lord Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Roberta was born July 22, 1917 to Walter and Electra (Hawkins) Johnson in Decatur, Texas. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, L.M. Pate; 2nd husband, J.D. Matzinger; sister, Virginia Dare Matzinger; and brother, Delmo Johnson.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Anamary Pate Tinar and husband Morgan of Bridgeport; 2 grandchildren, Mark Tinar and wife Joan of Castroville, and Rolinda Hans and husband Douglas of Castroville; great grandchildren, Lacy (Paige) Bishop of Castroville; Dillion Hans of Castroville, Paiten (Jordin ) Tinar of Houston, Landen Tinar of Midland, and Tristen Tinar of Castroville; 2 great great grandchildren, Whitley Bishop and Pate Bishop; sister, Bennie Wayne Wood of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
