Robert W. Harris

Robert W. Harris, 76, of Boyd, went to be with our Lord on Thursday December 5, 2024.

Funeral is 11:00 AM, Monday December 9, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday December 8, 2024 at the funeral home.

Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers include grandsons, Trenton Wilson, Kasey Holden, Judge Huddleston, Garrett Hodgson, Kyle McDaniel and dear friend Daniel Meeks.

Robert (Bobby as he was known to many) was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 24, 1948 to Ernest Lee and Dorothy Mae (Godsey) Harris. Robert married Patsy Baccus June 27, 1991 in Decatur, Texas He attended Diamond Hills Jarvis high school in Fort Worth. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Marines Corp. and was a Vietnam Veteran which he was very proud of. Robert was a self-employed truck driver and was also a jack of all trades having a door and glass company and he also did home remodeling among many other hats he wore. The cowboy way was one he also was very proud of, anything cowboy he was content with. He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a true friend who will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Dorothy Harris; son, Kelly Holden; sister, Norma Throckmorton; brothers, William Harris and Jerry Harris;

He is survived by his wife of over 33 years, Patsy Harris; son Robbie Harris and fiancé Cheryl Alderman of Rhome; daughters, Cynthia Wilson and husband Wesley of Rhome, Cyndi Riggs of Saginaw, Kathleena Davis of Azle, and Amye Huddleston and husband Doyle of Azle; sisters, Millie Walker of Boyd and Linda Pryor and fiance Ricky Pack of Boyd; 21 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp.
