Fort Worth ~ Robert Ryan, 93, formerly of Bridgeport, a self-employed painter, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 12-1:30 p.m. Saturday before the service. Open visitation is Friday evening at the funeral home.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Robert was born on August 1, 1917 to John and Ethel (White) Ryan in Bridgeport. He served his country in the U S Army during WWII. Robert was married to Margaret Ryan, who preceded him in death.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and his sisters, Helen Dunn, Dorothy Trammell, and Margie Gayle.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Pauline Hess of Fairfax, Minnesota and Shirley Wynns of Fort Worth; his brother, Jimmie Ryan of South Lake; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
