Fort Worth ~ Robert Adwin Currie, 84, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 5, 2018 in Fort Worth.
Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Robert was born February 14, 1933 to Oliver and Florence (Kilcrease) Currie in Midland. He was united in marriage April 7, 1967 to Toyo Miyagi in Okinawa, Japan. Robert was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, Veterans Group – Fort Worth, Ham Radio Association – Radio Call: KK5FF, a poetry writer, and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, AnnLaura Rogers , and Jean Smith.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Toyo Currie of Fort Worth; his daughter, Suzanne Webb and husband Brian of Oklahoma City; his son, Bob Currie and wife Wendy of Frisco; his grandchildren, Brandon Webb, Brooke Webb, Bailey Webb, Blake Webb, Chance Currie, and Ashley Currie; his brother, Jason Currie and wife Donna of Decatur; his sisters, Dolly Crites and husband Billy of Rhome, Janice Moore of Houston, Bonnie Johnson of Grand Prairie, and Georgia Currie of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
