Richard Lynn Mcclary

Bedford ~ Richard “Rick” Lynn McClary, 68,  Beloved, Paw-Paw, Dad, Brother, and Friend, went to be with our Lord Monday, September 4, 2017 in Bedford, TX.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Aurora Baptist Church in Aurora, TX, with burial in Aurora Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd, TX.

Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.  Pallbearers are Zack McClary, Heath Payne, Nathan McClary, Bill Bailey, Tom Clemmer, David Davis, and Jonathan Duft.

Rick was born August 28, 1949 to Thomas and Estelline (Smith) McClary in Decatur, TX.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army 1969-1971 as a member of the 101st Airborne Division.  Rick was an avid golfer who never missed an opportunity to play a round.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved, Alice Bavol of Bedford, TX; his son, Bart McClary and wife Miya of Alvarado, TX; his daughter, Susan McClary of Fort Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Zack McClary and wife Kristin of Coppell, TX, and Jaclyn Payne and husband Heath and great-granddaughter, London Payne of Oklahoma City, OK; his granddaughters, Taylor Bavol, Haley Bavol, Jordan Vela-Howard, Sierra Stowers, Rosie Stowers, Olivia Stowers, and Nora Stowers, his 2 great-grandsons; his sister, Janis Gallagher and husband Rich of Punta Gorda, FL; his brother, David McClary of Cleburne, TX; extended family and a host of friends whose lives he dearly touched.
