Bridgeport~ Richard Elwin Lack, 84, of Bridgeport went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Denton.

Funeral Services for Richard Elwin Lack, 84, and Nelwyn Lack, 82 of Bridgeport, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Poe Prairie Cemetery in Millsap, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Chapel in Bridgeport.

Richard was born on August 4, 1936 to Sylvester Irene and Arzella (Brashear) Lack in Millsap, Texas. Richard was a Veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Nelwyn Myers on June 3, 1955 in Millsap, they were together 65 years, 7 months and 1 day, until her passing. He was retired from Acme Brick Plant as a Maintenance Lead Man and truck driver. Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Richard Elwin Lack, 84, of Bridgeport went to be with our Lord and joined his wife in eternal rest on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nelwyn Myers Lack; his son, Richard E. Lack, Jr.; his brother, Russell Lack.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his 4 daughters, Cathy Cole and husband William of Bridgeport, Stella Green and husband Jeff of Bridgeport, Tammy Prock of Aubrey, and Roseanna Heard and husband Wade Rasberry of Bridgeport; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Anna Hill and Sherry McClusky of Mineral Wells; his brothers, Larry Lack of Mineral Wells,  David Lack of Florida, and Allan Lack of Sunset; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of friends.
