AURORA -- Richard Doyle Batterton, 59, the owner/operator of Tri-Star Metals in Boyd, died Monday, June 12, 2006 in Azle. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers: Bill Jackson, James Matthews, Craig Tuggle, Jeff King, Alan Lampin, and Jerry Crawford. Honorary pallbearers: James Weston and Ray Tapp.
Richard was born in Denton, Texas, the son of Carl and Sadie (Stanfield) Batterton. He married Lupe De Los Santos on October 4, 1965, in Montaque County.
Survivors: wife of 40 years: Lupe Batterton of Aurora; son: Richard Batterton, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Newark; daughters: Wendy Biondolillo and husband Bryan of Coppell, Cindi Powers and husband Kenny of Rhome; grandsons: Reece and Elliott Batterton, Tyler and Dylan Powers; brothers: Ray and David Batterton, Ron Kerley: sister: Joyce Echols; several nieces and nephews.
