In Loving Memory Rexanne Lee Hartley May 6, 1953 – June 7, 2025. Rexanne Lee Hartley, age 72, of Decatur, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Medical Lodge with her daughter and sister by her side.
Rexanne was born on May 6, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas, to Rex E. Lee and Mary F. York (lovingly known as “GG”). She brought joy to every room she entered and made lifelong friendships with those fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Elisha Langham, and son-in-law, Tom Langham; her beloved son, Jeremy Steinke, and his partner, Jim Trzaska; her cherished grandson, Reece Strickland; her devoted sister, Jan Lowry; and her dear niece and nephew, Jason Lobo & Amber Lowry.
Rexanne’s journey was rich with memorable experiences. In 1976, she formed a lifelong friendship with Cindy Foor after meeting in a hospital cafeteria—they later worked side by side in a sandwich shop, a simple beginning to a profound bond. In the 1980s, she moved to Plano, Texas, where she flourished in her role at Sears. Her warmth and genuine care for others made her a favorite among customers and a dear friend to her coworkers—relationships she treasured to this day.
Her greatest pride and joy came from her family and friends. She loved deeply, laughed often, and lived with a big heart. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Celebration of Life Details to follow. Please join us in honoring Rexanne’s memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in support of cancer research and prevention to the American Cancer Society. (https://raiseyourway.donordrive.com/campaigns/In-Loving-Memory-of-Rexanne-Lee-Hartley-5653-6725)
