Decatur ~ Reta Von Madden, 77, a retired Client Services Accountant went to be with her Lord, Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Rev. Ken May will officiate. There is no set family visitation.
Pallbearers include the First Baptist Church of Decatur Adult 8 Couples Sunday School Class.
Reta was born September 12, 1937 to William Otis and Katie Adeline (Read) Lankford in Martha, Oklahoma. She graduated from Altus High School in Altus, Oklahoma in 1955. She then attended DeKalb College in Clarkston, Georgia where she received her Associates Degree in Accounting. She married Jack William Madden on September 8, 1956 in Altus, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur, Texas.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, Jack Madden of Decatur; daughter, Belinda Rae Madden Talley and husband Ron of Burleson; son, Jay William Madden and wife Hope of Paradise; 3 grandchildren, Nate Talley, Payton Madden, and Catie Madden; brother, Donald Lynn Lankford; 3 sisters, Aletha Lou Walls, Barbara Darlene Pursifull, and Janice Faye Vorderbrug; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Reta was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Ira Maxelle Lankford and Billie Joe Lankford.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church of Decatur for Missions.
