Rebecca "Becky" Ruth Jones-Phillips

Rebecca (Becky) Ruth Phillips, 75, of Forth Worth, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd, with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Brother Fred Raney will be officiating. Pallbearers will include Blake Phillips, Johnny Murphy and Matthew Phillips.

Becky was born October 16, 1949 to J.M. Jones and Neva Ruth Sturdevent in Denton, Texas. She married the love of her life Mark Aaron Phillips on August 11, 1980 in Haltom City, Texas. Becky was a loving wife, mother and Memaw, and loved her family with all her heart! She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Saginaw, born into a Christian lifestyle championed by her mom, Neva Ruth Fanning-Jones. Becky loved watching her sons participate in sports, particularly baseball and football. Her hobby was playing bingo as often as she could when not working or being a wife, mom, and memaw. Her favorite pastime was watching and feeding squirrels pecans that would make their way to the yard, they knew that if the garage door was open, she would be sitting there with pecans in hand. Her prized possession was an Infiniti G37 coupe that she hot-rodded around like she was a teenager, she was so proud of that car and had a lot of fun in it.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, JM Jones; mother, Neva Sturdevant; stepfather, Bud Sturdevant; and son, Jeffery Murphy.

Those left behind to cherish her loving memory: her husband, Mark Phillips; her sons, Johnny Murphy and wife, Tammy, Matthew Phillips and wife, Shelly; her daughter, Deena Murphy; her grandchildren, Jaqui Murphy, Karen Murphy, Baylie Wallace, Caleb Murphy, Brenna Van Dyke, Blake Phillips, Adyson Phillips, Brooke Phillips; her great-granddaughter, Maia West; brother, Michael Jones; Numerous extended family and a host of friends.
