Raymond Eugene St. John

Chico ~ Raymond Eugene St. John, 83, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Monday, October 9, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Cumby Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rev. Robert Cox will officiate. Pallbearers include Carvel St. John, Mark St. John, Chad St. John, Trustin St. John, and Larry Marshall.

Raymond was born on August 24, 1934 to James Wesley and Annie (Rich) St. John in Bowie, Texas. He was united in marriage to Cora Martin on April 30, 1954 in Weatherford, Texas. Raymond was a truck driver for Coffman Tank Truck until his retirement. He was a member of the Living Waters Church in Chico and a member of the Moose Lodge in Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cora St. John; his daughter, Patricia Hill; his sisters, Mary Jo and Wanda.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Dawayne St. John and wife Lois of Bowie, Randell St. John and wife Christi of Montague, and David St. John of Chico; his grandchildren, Carvel, Mark, Chad, Trustin, Chris, Krystal, Tamara, and Leah; 15 great grandchildren; his brothers, Dan, Jerry, James, Rubin, Bobby, and Alvin; his sisters, Shirley, Linda, Ethelene, Helen, and Lois; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
