Springtown ~ Ray Carpenter, 77, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Decatur.
Memorial is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Springtown. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Rev. Hal Kincade will officiate.
Ray was born on May 15, 1942, to John Beuford and Opal Leona (Polk) Carpenter in Weatherford, Texas. He was united in marriage to Ellen Neighbors on May 20, 1960, at the First Baptist Church in Springtown. Ray a mason a retired from CMC Masonry. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springtown, and a long standing member of the Springtown Lions Club.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Ellen Carpenter of Springtown; his daughter, Rhonda Wilson and husband Randy of Springtown; his sons, Clay Carpenter and wife Gina of Springtown, and Brandon Cozart and wife Sarah of Round Rock; his 7 grandchildren, Kellen, Cole, Brady, Haden, Keegan, Hudson, and Rowan; his 5 great-grandchildren, Jagger, Maddox, Zane, Kaylee, and Logan; his brother, Perry Carpenter and wife Ladora of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
