Blue Mound ~ Ray Nell Bolin, 87, a dietitian, went to be with our Lord Friday, December 26, 2014, at her home in Blue Mound.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rev. Jeff Griffin will officiate. Pallbearers include Randy Harris, Tracy Harris, Tommy White, Travis White, Mark White, and John Gilbert, Jr. Honorary pallbearer is Russell Mize.
Ray Nell was born on April 17, 1927 to George Thomas and Ida Mae (Mann) Stokes in Randolph, Texas. She was united in marriage to Abner Thomas Bolin on December 31, 1945 in Decatur. She was a member of the Aurora Baptist Church in Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Abner; her son-in-law, John Y. “Mo” Gilbert; 1 sister; and 5 brothers.
Those left behind to cherish hers memory are her daughters, Sandra Padgett and husband Jim of Blue Mound, Donna White and husband Tommy of Blue Mound, and Sharon Gilbert of Fort Worth; her son, Randy Carl Bolin and wife Karen of Burleson; 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; her sister, Flora Capehart of Savoy, Texas; her pet cat, Spooks; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
