Fort Worth ~ Raol Salinas, 70, formerly of Bridgeport, a retired campus policeman, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 9, 2018 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial at 2:15 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Eulogio Puebla and Rev. Carlos Cardenas will officiate. Pallbearers include Sammy Salinas, Joseph Salinas, Eric Salinas, Peter Garcia, Paul Garcia and John Hill.
Raol was born on February 24, 1948 to Manuel R. and Emma (Sepulveda) Salinas in Weslaco, Texas. Raol retired from North Texas Health Science Center. He was a member of the VFW in Paradise, and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his niece, Sonya Marie Salinas.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Carol Owens and husband Jesse of Mexia; his son, Joshua Salinas of Fort Worth; his grandsons, Joseph, Jacob, and Jeremy; his brother, Manuel Salinas and wife Donna of San Marcos; his sister, Lupe Garcia and husband Sammy of Bridgeport; his brother, Habier Salinas and wife Janie of Olathe, Kansas; his sister, Mary Ochoa and husband Richard of Arlington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
