RUNAWAY BAY -- Randy McMurry, 57, a business manager for Transocean Offshore Drilling Co., died Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Decatur. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with Gary Wilson and Rev. Joe Tom Bement officiating. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brett Bement, Steven Bement, J.T. Stockton, Dennis McMurry, Brad Largent and Dave McMurry. Randy was born Dec. 28, 1949 in Dumas, TX to David E. "Gene" and Lou Thomason McMurry. Randy attended the University of North Texas with a major in Business. He worked as a business manager on an offshore drilling rig with Transocean for 24 years. Randy was married to his loving wife Rhonda Lynn Bement McMurry for 10 1/2 years. Randys' greatest joys in the world was his wife and his grandchildren. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jeffrey David McMurry.
Randy leaves behind: Wife, Rhonda McMurry of Runaway Bay; children, Kasi Lenan Fagan of Bridgeport, Suzanne Largent and husband Brad of Bridgeport and J.T. Stockton and wife Jodie of Bridgeport; 5 grandchildren: Madalynn Fagan, Austin Largent, Hunter Largent, Jaden Stockton and Brody James Stockton. Other survivors include his sister, Rowena Wilson and husband Gary of Madisonville; brother, Dennis McMurry and his wife Tonya of Chico; his father and mother-in-law, Mike and Sylvia Bement of Runaway Bay. Randy will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Michelle Stanford, Dave McMurry, Alecia Kelly and Greg Wilson.
