Randy C. Martin

Randy C. Martin, 74, passed from this earth Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jeff Tackett will officiate. Pallbearers will include Garth Martin, Clark Martin, Jeff Martin, Damon Butler, Parker Overton, and Keith Sasich.

Randy was born May 24, 1950 to Richard K. and Lucille (Clark) Martin in Coalville, Utah. He was united in marriage June of 2000 to Joan Elizabeth Bennett in Decatur, Texas. Randy was an area manager for a commercial construction company for many years. He enjoyed dealing with horses & cattle. Randy was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucille Martin; and his sons, Dustin  Martin and Justin Martin; infant son, Dustin Martin; his brother, Dee Martin, and a brother-in-law, Richard Cox.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan Bennett Martin of Decatur; his son, Chancey Martin and fiancé Angie Niggemeyer of Arlington; step-daughter, Julie Butler and husband Damon of Denton; 2 grandchildren, Peyton & Parker Overton; 2 great-grandchildren, Amelia & Agali Overton; his 3 brothers, Jeff Martin of Wyoming, Garth Martin and wife Lori of Montana, and Clark Martin and wife Jeri of Wyoming; his sister, Kathy Cox of Alaska; extended family and a host of friends.
