Phillip Bullard

Decatur ~ Phillip Don Bullard, 91, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, October 6, 2026, in Alliance.

Memorial Service is at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 16th, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd.

Phillip was born on August 14, 1935, to Bryant Jackson Bullard and Mamie (Revis) Bullard in Latch, Texas. He was united in marriage to Veada Loudada Buckmaster on November 10, 1956, in San Antonio. Phillip retired after 50 years of dedicated service as a foreman with Chapman Construction. His strong work ethic, commitment, and pride in his work were a reflection of the dependable and hardworking man he was. Phillip was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vada; his brothers, Del, Darrell, Rudolph, Dalton, and Kenneth; his sisters, Marie and Carol Ann; and his sons, Don and Michael.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Mona Hankins and her husband, Harold “Tooter” Hankins, and Karen Stokes, both of Boyd; his grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Kyle Hankins, Jason Stokes, Nicholas Wheeler, and Jeffrey Hankins; his sister, Sandy Trullos; close family friend, Bud Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
