Pearl was born on January 31, 1921 to Isaac and Lola (Jessop) Smith in Mount Morris, Michigan. She was united in marriage to Dick Telford Cox on June 20, 1942 in Kirksville, Maryland. Pearl retired from nursing. She was the oldest resident of Slidell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick Cox; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandson.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon McFarlane of Slidell and Shirley Cox of Denton; her son, Lary Cox of Alvord; her sister, Wanda Moen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Tom McFarlane, Ann Bartis, Jody Boyce, Juanita Johnson, Heath Cox and Christie Vasquez; 16 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren
