Paula Fowler

Paula Guthrie Fowler, 82, passed from this earth Friday, June 26th, 2026 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 6th, 2026 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.  Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Paula was born September 16th, 1943 to Marvin Leon and Theresa Lee (Ashlock) Guthrie in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage July 1st, 1959 to Bobby Joe Fowler, Sr. in Ft. Worth, Texas. Paula was a retired payroll director, working for over 37 years for Pier 1 Imports. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Theresa Guthrie; and her husband, Bobby Joe Fowler, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sheryl Ann Fowler of Saginaw; her son, Bobby Joe Fowler, Jr. of Decatur; her grandchildren, Colt Leon Fowler, Casside Joe Fowler, and Wyatt Gunner Small; her great-grandchild, Allie Mae Fowler; great friends, Phala McGee and Kim Adams; extended family and a host of friends.
