Paul Lambert, Jr. of Paradise, a beloved fixture of the Wise County community and a vibrant presence in life, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, in Jacksboro, Texas.

A memorial service for Paul will be held at later date.

Born on June 28, 1932, in Beaverville, Illinois to Ida (Curby) and Paul Lambert, Sr., Paul led a life rich with simple joys, hard work, and meaningful connections. He was a man whose heart was as expansive as his garden and whose spirit touched everyone he met.

Though he might be remembered as a jack of all trades, Paul excelled in many roles throughout his life. With the hands of a farmer and the heart of a truck driver, he dedicated himself to working on his family's farm from an early age. Over the years, his passion for gardening blossomed and he could often be seen tending to his beloved plants with pride. The vegetables he sold were not just produce; they were a symbol of his devotion to the earth and his desire to nurture the community around him.

Paul's mornings were often spent at Brandi's kitchen, where he delighted in a hearty breakfast, always brightening the day of everyone he encountered with his charm and good humor. Known for embracing life with his zest and determination, Paul became a familiar sight around Bridgeport, Paradise, and Boonsville where his infamous mule-led wagon rides brought joy and smiles to neighbors and friends alike. A man of deep faith, Paul was a devoted member of St. John’s Catholic Church, where he lived out his spirituality with reverence and commitment. His courage was reflected in his service in the U.S. Army, a chapter of his life that added to his remarkable journey.

Above all, family was Paul's greatest treasure. He is survived by his cherished children, Stanley Dale Lambert, Wendell Paul Lambert and his wife Karen, Dennis James Lambert and his wife Irma, Lacinda Joan Conway and her husband Jim, Linda Fay Bailey, and Brenda Gaye Lambert, all of whom were touched daily by his love and guidance. Paul’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, including Sean Paul Lambert, Alexander James Lambert, Ryan Lee Lambert, Michael James Conway, Jennifer Marie Carter, Joshua Ryan Bailey, Nathan Andrew Bailey, Matthew John Bailey, Amanda Jane Amstuz, Chad Alexander Gojer, Jeremy Paul Lambert, Melissa Ann Lambert, Karen Anne Lambert, Laci Nichole Ward, Kristopher Michael Deasy, LeeAnne Michelle Flowers, and Drake Long; his siblings Francis “Frank” Lambert and Sister Myra Lambert, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Paul joins his loved ones who have passed before him, including his parents, Ida Curby and Paul Lambert, Sr., and his beloved children, Gregory Dean Lambert, Phillip Wayne Lambert, and Pamela Sue Deasy; He is also reunited with his granddaughter Lisa Marie Lambert; his siblings, Doreen Lambert, Vernon Lambert, Leonard Lambert, August "Gus" Lambert, Paulene Arseneau, Calvin Lambert, Vivian Langevin, Leland Lambert, Roy Lambert, and Donald “Don” Lambert.

As we remember Paul Lambert, Jr., let us celebrate a man deeply rooted in family, faith, and community—a soul whose laughter and kindness will forever be missed. His legacy lives on in every garden he nurtured and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the profound impact one person can have on their community.
