Patricia Grace (Souther) Gage

Patricia Grace Gage, 78, went to be with our Lord Monday, September 9th, 2024.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 13th, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church with burial at Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Matthew B. Gage will officiate. Pallbearers include Danny Souther, Tommy Souther, Tom Goode, Ronnie Hale, Rob Powell, Cliff Spain, Mike Garrett, and Randy Cobb.

Patricia was born February 28th, 1946 to Council “CD” and Clair Aszelene (Hall) Souther in Whitesboro, Texas. She was united in marriage June 14th, 1962 to Jimmy Bert Gage in Decatur, Texas. Patricia was retired after many years with Decatur Independent School District. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. and Aszelene Souther; her husband of 54 years, Jimmy Gage.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Gage and wife Kristin of Paradise; her daughters, Lisa Gage of Denton, and Lori Gage of Decatur; grandson, Matthew Gage and wife Rebecca of Decatur; granddaughter, Kari Powell and husband Rob of Decatur; 4 great-grandchildren, Billy, Drew, Jenna, and Alli Gage; her sister, Clara Garrett of Castle, Oklahoma; a brother, David Souther of Decatur; her sister-in-law, Tonya Hale and husband Ronnie of Decatur; extended family members and a host of friends.
