Pamela Jane Riley, born on October 25, 1947, in the small, close-knit community of Justin, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2026, in Dallas, TX. The life she lived was as vivid and enduring as the town where her journey began—a journey marked by warmth, spirited resilience, and genuine connection.

Visitation to honor Pamela’s memory will be held on March 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Justin Cemetery, located at 10990 Justin Cemetery Road, Justin, TX 76247. This will be followed immediately by a graveside service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the same location, where family and friends will gather to celebrate a life immeasurably lived and deeply loved.

From her youth, Pamela was a woman who embraced life with a feisty fire that could light up any room. She graduated high school with a sense of determination that carried her through a fulfilling career as a hairdresser. In her salon chair, Pamela was more than a stylist; she was a confidante, a great listener whose compassion and quiet wisdom made her clients feel truly heard. Her artistry was not only in the comb and scissors but deeply woven into the relationships she cultivated—each strand of hair a story, every conversation a cherished moment.

Pamela was known far beyond her skillful hands for her unyielding spirit and heart that could hold space for others. She was a woman who knew how to stand her ground yet listen with open ears and an open heart. Her feistiness was a beautiful armor and an invitation—an expression of a life lived fully, fiercely, and with a profound kindness that radiated to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Her family remembers her as a beloved sister and an indomitable force of love. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Thomas Chester Johnson and Nelda Jane (Lester) Johnson, and by Paul Johnson, Sr. and Bobby Johnson, whose memories she honored throughout her life.

Surviving Pamela are her devoted brothers: Allen Johnson and his wife Pat of Benbrook, Phillip Johnson of Bowie, Donnie Johnson and his wife Karen of Aledo, Thomas Johnson of Sunset, and David Johnson of Coppell. Alongside them stand her loving sisters: Terry Hill and her husband Don of Alvord, and Gwendolyn Hignight of Haltom City. Pamela’s extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews who carry forward her legacy of warmth and tenacity—as well as a host of friends who found in her a steadfast companion and a soul who listened with rare and beautiful intent.

Pamela Jane Riley’s story is one etched into the fabric of those she touched—a testament to the power of a heart that listens and a spirit that defies quiet conformity. Her memory lingers like a cherished melody, one that will resonate for generations in the hearts of all who knew her. In everything she was, there was a fierce grace; in every goodbye, a gentle echo of her enduring presence.
