Oscar Doyal Romine

Oscar D. Romine, 78, a retired welder, went to be with our Lord Friday, October 23, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Rhome Assembly of God with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev Michael Alloggio will officiate and be assisted by Rev Michael Stephenson. Pallbearers include Bobby Scantlin, Ed Romine, Jon Romine, Kyle Copeland, Zane Holland, Barry Brown, Dustin Byers, Johnathan Davis and Trey Romine.
Oscar was born on January 7, 1937 to Hugh and Edith (Pursley) Romine in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Billie Arrington on June 8, 1957 in Rhome, Texas. Oscar graduated from Northwest High School. He worked as a welder at Modern Welding in Rhome until his retirement.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; his son, F. Scott Romine; and his brothers, Aubrey, Jimmy, David and Larry Romine.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Billie Romine of Rhome; his daughter, Tamme Byers and husband Kenny of Aurora; his sons, Wesley Romine and wife Sharon of Aurora, Mark Romine and wife Staci of Boyd, Michael Romine and wife Dee of Rhome; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his brothers, Bill Romine and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Charles Romine and wife Tressa of Rhome; his sisters, Grace Neal and husband Dave of Mount Vernon, Helen Wells of Rhome, and Joyce Cardwell of Saginaw; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
