PARADISE -- Ora M. Shannon Green, 74, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 in Dallas. Graveside service: 9 A.M. Friday at Cottondale Cemetery.
Ora was born in Paradise, Texas to the late Armon and Mary Oleta Shannon. She was a retired bank teller and was an artist on the sidelines. She was a member of the Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother: Wylie Shannon, and 1 sister: Leona Shannon.
Survivors: daughters: Sharon Armstrong and husband David of Petal, Mississippi, Patsy Kennard and husband Les of Wiggins, Mississippi, Hope Dodson and husband Larry of Utica, Mississippi; son: Jacky Green and wife Melody of Louisville, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters: Peggy Green, Priscilla Pickard, and Paula Copeland; brothers: Bobby, Ronnie, and David Shannon; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of friends.
