Oliver Jason Currie Jr.

Decatur ~ Jason Currie Jr., 90, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Aurora Baptist Church with burial at Aurora Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Boyd.

Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.

Jason was born February 21, 1927 to Oliver Jason and Florence (Kilcrease) Currie in Midland.  He was united in marriage October 14, 2004 to Donna Knight in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was a member of Aurora Baptist Church for 71 years.  Jason proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Currie; and his sisters, Ann Laura Rogers and Jean Smith.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years, Donna Currie of Decatur; his children, Michelle House of Odessa, Denise Williamson of Granger, Bill Jenkins of Fort Worth, and Jenny Read of Decatur; his 9 grandchildren; his 2 great grandchildren; his sisters, Dolly Crites and husband Billy, Janice Moore, Bennie Johnson, and Georgia Currie; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
