Haslet ~ Odell Willie Monthie, Jr., 54, a diesel mechanic, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Rhome.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Odell was born on June 28, 1960 to Odell, Sr. and Hazel (Winkle) Monthie in Waco, Texas. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Odell was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeana Lichnovsky.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, David Monthie and wife Priscilla of Haslet, his daughters, Nicole Monthie-Gregory and husband Steve of Rincon, Georgia and Rachel Monthie of Choctaw, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kane, Kylee, Terry, Alyssa and Lily-Ann; his sisters, Doris Monthie-Kemp and husband Michael of Longview and Kimberly Bailey and husband Melvin of Irving; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and a host of friends.
