Rhome ~ Norma Jean Harvey Matthews, 85, a homemaker went to be with our Lord Monday, March 10, 2014 in Decatur .
Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd.
Rev. John Stewart will officiate.
Norma was born on June 19, 1928 to P.L. and Ima (Ford) Harvey in Newark , Texas . She was united in marriage to William Matthews on June 22, 1946 in Tarrant County .
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; her daughter, Suzy Burk; and her brothers, Harold and Jerry Harvey.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melba Matthews Pitts and husband Robert of Aurora; her grandsons, Justin Burk and wife Sandi of Decatur and Cody Burk and wife Emily of Glendale, Arizona; her granddaughters, Tiffany Machart of Dallas and Lindsay Clark of Ft. Worth; her great grandchildren, Savannah, Colton, Ramsay, Caroline and Brady; her brother, Ronnie Harvey and wife Sue of Rhome; other family members and a host of friends.
