BOYD -- Nona M.Thompson, 92, a retired rancher, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2009, at her home in Boyd.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Interment: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the funeral home.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers: Scott Redmon, George Thompson, Randy Thompson, Greg Reasoner, Paul Nelson and Alvin Niblett.
Nona was born on July 18, 1917, the daughter of John W. and Josefine (Bean) Thompson in Millsap, Texas. She married David Baty Thompson on December 24,1941, in Decatur, Texas. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and the Texas Star Lunch Bunch. Nona was a loving Mother and Grandmother who loved making crochet items for friends and family.
Nona was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Richard Lee Thompson, 4 brothers: W.O., Codis, O.H., and Auvis Niblett.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters: Mabel Thompson and husband George of Boyd, Stella Redmon and husband Scotty of Boyd, Yvonne Reasoner and husband Paul of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Michelle Thompson and husband Randy, Alicia Nelson and husband Paul, Greg Reasoner and wife Candice, and Kimberly Reasoner; 2 great grandchildren: Braxton and Camdyn Reasoner; numerous other family members and a host of friends.
