Nina Clorene (Rowland) Bell

Nina Clorene Rowland Bell passed away on October 24, 2022 at 91 years old.

She served in the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service in the 1950’s including the Refugee Relief Program, Political Section and Embassy Security Department in Cypress, Athens, Lisbon, Rotterdam and Manila. Nina also relished working at Braniff Airlines, with fine people having lots of fun and travelling. She retired from Hunt Petroleum where she enjoyed more good friends.

Her love of family and the power of books can be seen in her extensive genealogical research that culminated in the books she wrote about her Baptist Davis and John Jasper Pinkney Davis families. A Rowland family book is underway.

She is survived by her daughter, brother, nephew, nieces, great nieces and great nephews, cherished friends and beloved extended family members.

A Graveside Service will occur at the Boyd Cemetery in Boyd, Texas on Thursday, October 27 at 2 PM. Inclement weather location is Hawkins Funeral Home, Boyd, Texas. No flowers, please; cards are welcome.
