Nell Admire

Bridgeport ~ Nell Admire, 87, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Bridgeport.

Graveside Service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13th, at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Dr. Craig Erb to officiate.

Nell was born on September 1, 1938, to E.E. “Pappy” Hicks and Clara (Barrett) Hicks in Como, Texas. She was united in marriage to Billy Charles Admire on June 28, 1958, in Bridgeport. They were happily married for 53 years before his passing in 2011. Nell was a devoted homemaker who poured her love and care into her family. She was also a cherished member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Nell was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother of 3 generations, and a friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy; her sister, Jean Ray; her brother, Everett Lee Hicks; her daughter, Vanessa Pearce; and her grandson, Tony Pearce.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Marjorie Isom of Bridgeport; her daughters, Kelli Cook of Bridgeport and Kimberly Roe of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Landon Puckett and his wife, Sabrina of Runaway Bay, Ashley Grube and her husband, Merl of Whitt, Billy Cook of Bridgeport, Marissa Cook of Bridgeport, and Felisha Collins of Dallas; numerous greats, great-greats, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
