Nelda R. Parrent

Decatur ~ Nelda Raye Lambert - Parrent, 81, a retired secretary, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Nelda was born on May 11, 1938 to Samuel Hickman and and Eula Mae (Cox) Lambert in Littlefield, Texas. She retired from Poco Graphite after 20 + years.

She enjoyed sewing, painting on canvas, crafting, spending time with family and her monthly lunch dates with her “lunch ladies” who were friends and previous co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her sisters, Dot M. Summerford of Alabama and Quita F. Martin of Oklahoma.

She is survived by, her daughters, Sheril Tomson of Decatur and Dana Englehart and husband Jim of Sunset; her son, Russell Tomson of Decatur; her grandchildren, Russell Paul, Wade, Courtney, Cindy, Ashley; 10 Great-grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
