Aurora ~ Ned E. Adcock, 82, assembler, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in Aurora.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Aurora Baptist Church with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Aurora Baptist Church.
Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate. Pallbearers include Brent Stone, Donny Worthington, Kyle Copp, Steve Soloman, Gary Lambert, and Kevin Howard. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Dickey, Robert Pitts, Joe Smith, Jack Smith and Bo Jennings.
Ned was born on January 10, 1933 to Claude and Stella (Whitley) Adcock in Monroe, Georgia. He was united in marriage to June Jennings on September 13, 1957 in Wichita Falls. Ned served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Bell Helicopter as an assembler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ralph, Roy, Lamar, Mell, and James Adcock; and his sisters, Sarah Heggwood and Sue Drucker.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, June Jennings Adcock of Aurora; his son, Brad Adcock and wife Tammy of Newark; his daughter, Robin Adcock of Saginaw; his grandchildren, Jasmyn Simpson, Hannah Adcock, and Halyn Adcock; his great grandchild, Alexa Simpson-Thomas; other family members and a host of friends.
