Decatur ~ Naomi Osburn, 94, a retired homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, September 22, 2014 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Boyd Church of Christ in Boyd. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Coker-Hawkins will be handling arrangements.
Clyde Harold Slimp will officiate. Pallbearers include Leon Tovaas, Jimmy Coffe, Jason Osburn, Josh Hale, Hal Boulter and Richard Osburn.
Naomi was born on June 29, 1920 to Richard and Jennie (Tennery) Tribble in Denton County, Texas. She was united in marriage to Wendell Osburn on December 30, 1950 in Gainesville. Naomi loved being at home taking care of her family. She was very strong in her faith. Naomi was a member of Boyd Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; 5 sisters; 2 grandsons.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Wendell Allen Osburn; 10 children, Joanne, Patsy, Virginia, Billie, Richard, Terry, Theresa, Charlene, Molly and Thomas; 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
