Nancy was born on December 22, 1944, to Roy and Nora Gantt in Dallas. She was united in marriage to Odis Ernest Vaughan on February 16, 1963 in Dallas. Nancy a retired child daycare assistant, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents;

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years Odis Vaughan of Dallas; her son, Kenny Vaughan and wife Sherry of Decatur; her grandchildren, Heather Crump of Fort Worth, Stephanie Horel of Iowa, Tamara Davis of Decatur, Nik Vaughan of Washington, Garret Vaughan of North Carolina, and Robert Vaughan of Chicago; her 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
