Morris Vess

Paradise ~ Claud Morris Vess, 77, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Paradise.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #2 in Keeter.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Dr. Jack Alumbaugh and Rev. Dale Webster will officiate.

Morris was born September 26, 1941 to Claud and Carrie (Peel) Vess in Keeter.  He was united in marriage to Deborah Wright on April 27, 1964 in Springtown.  Morris farmed and worked in agricultural related businesses until he retired.  He was a Christian man and a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport.  Morris gave a lot of his time working in the church, and he was dedicated to the well-being of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Fay Steel.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Debbie Vess of Paradise; his sons, David Vess of Fort Worth, and Dennis Vess of Paradise; his daughter, Sandra Vess Contreras and husband Rodolfo of Fort Worth; his grandsons, Derek Hilliard and wife Cassi, Jason Vess, Jerry Vess, Hayden Vess, and Quinton Contreras; his great-granddaughters, Hailyn and Addisyn Hilliard, and Olivia Vess; extended family, friends, and a host of friends.
