Michael "Butch" David Mccain

Michael David “Butch” McCain, 78, of Chico went to be with our Lord Monday, October 21, 2024 in Chico.

Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Lonestar Cemetery in Chico, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

John Gann will officiate. Pallbearers include Zack, Marcus, Nick, Charles, Bodee, and Clayton.

Michael David “Butch McCain was born on June 3, 1946 in Breckenridge, Texas to Walter McCain and Ruby (Wilhelm) McCain. He was raised by his grandparents Rodger and Willie Wilhelm.  Butch was married to Virginia Gail Beck on November 16, 1965.  They were married for 47 years before her passing on May 4, 2012.

He is survived by sons, Les McCain and wife Jan, and Rick McCain and wife Laura; his grandchildren, Marcus, Bella, Brooke, Zack, Nick, Bodee, Charles, and Hannah; nine great-grandchildren, Nathan, Landen, Brookelynn, Jessika, Kaiden, Mason, Kaiser, Junior, and Johnathan; his sister, Judy Price; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The last ten years he has enjoyed life with his girlfriend, Lisa Marie Wyant and her sons, Josh and Nick.
