Michael Brian Murray

Michael Brian Murray, 69, of Azle passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Graveside Service is 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14th at Ball Knob Cemetery out of Alvord, Texas.

Michael was born November 15, 1956 to Gene Murray and Shirley (Chauvin) Murray Miller in Texas City, Texas. He was united in marriage June 12, 2005 to Allyson Wolfenberger in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Michael excelled at whatever he set his mind and heart to do. He was a professional drummer, a successful warehouse manager, and an accomplished horse trainer and farrier. His horse training experience included success with the most difficult horses whose owners had given up all hope. He especially enjoyed Old West reenactments. His talents were many.

Michael was a beloved husband, step-father, and friend to many, who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Murray.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Allyson Murray; his step-son, Sam Kuehmichel and wife Ashlyn; his mother, Shirley Miller; extended family and a host of friends.
