Springtown ~ Michael Henry Martin, 70, a retired truck driver and baker, went to be with his Lord Monday, December 8, 2014 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Michael was born September 16, 1944 to Donald Frederick and Mary Virginia (Hilt) Martin in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Martin.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Julie Schnell and husband Rod of Denver, Colorado, Amy Burton and husband Kevin of Sydney, Nebraska, and Bethany Andrews of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Abi, Hannah, Cameron, Heather, Kyle, Keely, Keegan, Avery, and Brody; a great grandchild, Brantley; his sisters, Mary Cook, Debbie Bartmann, Tamara Shariff, and Pamela Allison; his brother, Fred Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
