Max Ann Hancock

Bowie ~ Max Ann Hancock, 90, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 24, 2023 in Bowie.

Graveside Service is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at Chico Cemetery. Phillip Weitner will officiate.

Max was born on June 23, 1933 to OB and Sybil (Rogers) Hufhines in Chico. She was united in marriage to Thomas Edward Hancock on June 23, 1951 in Wise County and they were together for 67 years before his passing in 2018. Max was a member of First Central Presbyterian in Abilene. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Hancock; her parents, OB and Sybil Hufhines; her daughter, Amanda Hancock; her grandson, Zachary; her sister, Janet Marburger.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Tom M. Hancock and wife Sally of Billings, Montana and John Hancock and wife Karen of Bowie; 2 daughters, Rebecca Bairley and husband Kenneth of Washington Township, Michigan and Lisa Le Beyer of Bowie; 8 grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Matthew, Michael, Noah, Kate, Davis, and Kelsey; 2 great-grandchildren, Bella and Remi; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
