BRIDGEPORT -- Maurine Houchins, 91, a retired seamstress went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Officiating: Bro. Joe Hanley and Bro. Ray Cook. Burial: Wilson Prairie Cemetery. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Bill Boone, Jim Pewitt, Leon Dethloff, Joe Richardson, Jeff Stanley, Randy Stanley.
Mrs. Houchins was born March 13, 1916 in Revenna, TX to John Winfield and Lela Duckworth Doggett. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Eldon Leroy Houchins, brothers, Robert L., John Worth and J.R. Doggett; sister, Lena Alice Head. Maurine was a member of the Carpenter Street Church of Christ.
Survivors: Brother, Edgar Doggett of Sherman; sister, Mary Frances Billings of McGregor; and brother-in-law, Lowell Head of Kentucky.
